A harder finish. Less waste. Zero VOC emissions.
Powder coating has become the preferred finishing method for a wide range of industrial applications – and for good reason. At Raphael Industries, we apply powder coatings to manufactured parts and components at both our West Allis and Lomira facilities, backed by the same ISO 9001:2015 certified processes and family-owned flexibility that our customers have relied on since 1987.
If you’re looking for a durable, consistent, and environmentally sound finish for your parts, powder coating deserves a close look.
Dry powder. Electrostatic application. Oven-cured durability.
Powder coating is a finishing process in which a dry powder – typically made from a blend of resin, pigment, and curing agents – is applied to a metal part using an electrostatic spray gun. The gun gives the powder particles a negative charge, which causes them to adhere uniformly to the grounded metal surface. The coated part is then passed through an industrial curing oven, where heat causes the powder to melt, flow, and cure into a smooth, durable film.
The result is a finish that is harder, thicker, and more resistant to chipping, scratching, and corrosion than most liquid paint systems. And because powder coating contains no solvents, it produces zero VOC emissions during the application and cure process – making it one of the most environmentally sound industrial finishing options available.
Powder coatings are supplied ready to use, with no mixing, thinning, or viscosity adjustment required. That consistency translates directly into a more repeatable, controllable finish run after run.
Getting a powder coating to perform starts well before the powder is applied. Surface preparation is the foundation of any durable finish, and we don’t cut corners on it.
Powder coating offers more variety than many customers expect. We can apply finishes across a wide range of colors, gloss levels, and textures, including:
